1. Who we are
TutorKonnect is a marketplace that connects parents and students with verified tutors in India. When we say "we", "us" or "TutorKonnect" we mean the TutorKonnect team operating the website tutorkonnect.app.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — name, email, phone number, role (parent/student or tutor) and password.
- Tutor profile data — qualifications, subjects, teaching mode, city, hourly rate, bio, photo, intro video and ID proof used for verification.
- Enquiries and reviews — messages you send tutors and reviews you post.
- Payment metadata — plan, amount, payment status and Razorpay order/payment IDs. Card and UPI details are handled by Razorpay and never stored by us.
- Usage data — device, browser, IP address and pages visited, for security and analytics.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and verify tutors.
- To let parents contact tutors and let tutors respond to enquiries.
- To process subscription payments and send receipts.
- To keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.
- To send service updates and, with your consent, occasional marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with: Razorpay (payments), our cloud and email providers, and law enforcement when legally required. Tutor profiles that pass verification are shown publicly. Contact details of parents/students are shared with a tutor only after that parent/student sends an enquiry.
5. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by writing to support@tutorkonnect.app. Some records (payments, tax invoices) are retained for the period required by Indian law.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information from your account settings or by contacting us. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, row-level database access controls and hashed passwords — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep it confidential.
